Opium Curs is a political DIY sludge metal band from Athens, Greece. It was formed in 2012 as an instrumental trio and the music was mainly focused around heavy rock-stoner metal. After breaking up in 2015 it was regrouped in 2019 with the addition of a second guitar and vocals in the songs while music progressed into a heavier sludgy path.

As a band we strictly support DIY events (from social centers, squats, other groups and political causes) away from venues with mandatory entrance fees, bosses, managers and profit logics trying to break any intermediary commercial relations between the band and its acts.

Ουρλιαχτα (Yells) is our first piece of recorded music and it is our first attempt to share our music in the public.
